You know, time is just a construct.

What do I mean?

There was a time before time. Or at least a time before our construct of time. Our construct of time was created only once it mattered when transport became so fast that we started noticing time when time became a problem.

The issue is. We are smart, sometimes too smart. Smart enough to create a solution not smart enough to anticipate problems with our solution. Brilliant people innovate. Sundials, hourglass, mechanical, quartz, and atomic clocks. 1 second lost a couple of months; nay a couple of years; nay 300 billion years. Time became solved, because of smart people. Yet we are still held back by our smart constructs, held up by our smart institutions.

The solution is simple, the solution is here, allow me to show you the truth.

Did you know the world has 38 time zones? That Nepal is 5 hours and 45 minutes ahead of UTC?

The world is mad and messy. It doesn’t have to be that way.

Timezones aren’t great. They cause issues with computer software, they make international meetings annoying, try booking a group meeting between an American, European, and Australian in March, do you know when different countries switch to daylight saving time?

Timezones were created in the 19th century, the era of railroads. When the time between the conductor’s clock and the local time would matter. Today we can circumnavigate the globe in a day, and soon we can do it in less than 2 hours.

But timezones are essential you say? but why? it’s just a construct. We will not make your day start earlier, nor do we make it stay longer. The laws of physics remain the same, our construct of time does not.

Of course, you can now see what others don’t see. The only way to solve this is by abolishing the timezone. But how do we win this battle?

We can achieve this by merging timezones, after all, it has been done before. In 1949 the glorious People’s Republic of China merged 5 timezones into one. What we need is a strong leader to do the same for us!

Many in our glorious European Union want to remove daylight’s savings, why don’t we ask for more? UTC is after all the universal timezone.

I do not come to you with answers to how we will win this battle. Instead, I ask you to join the movement, after all, Jesus Christ had only a few followers in his lifetime, now it is a global truth.
